Although now heavily involved in the development of computerised archives for both public and private sector customers, the company's reputation was built on the pre-press division of the printing industry. We are experts in the printing of older books and manuscripts for the press, and a number of UK book printers now rely on our specialist skills in this area. We are often called upon clean, enhance and re-set older editions of printed books, or preserve images from deteriorating film stock or crumbling manuscripts. Normally this will involve preserving the appearance of the original edition - whilst removing any obvious blemishes such as stains or discolouring due to age, prior to reprint.
